The instructor-led basic instrumentation course is an excellent course for new instrument technicians, electricians and new engineers in developing a knowledge base and skills in the area of industrial instrumentation. This course will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training conducted at one of our four process training units, by an instrument & control adult education specialist.

Participants will be prepared to use Machine Learning & Reinforcement Learning with process data, first principles models, & common process control approaches to create Python model objects that deploy in the Koios software platform. Topics include Digital Twins, Reinforcement Learning techniques for training process control models, & preparing timeseries process data for Machine Learning & Reinforcement Learning. Hands-on sections involve learning to code in Python and use the Ai-OPs Software Dev. Kit.

This instructor-led and hands-on course is delivered by our experienced technical education specialists who deliver a high-quality course beginning with a basic understanding of control loop fundamentals and basic process control theory. There is detailed study of P&ID’s and loop drawings, loop calculations and the fundamentals of test equipment. Pre-requisite for this class is familiarity with basic instrument configuration. Students will receive 1.4 CEUs on completion of the course.

This instructor-led and hands-on course is delivered by our experienced technical education specialists who deliver a high-quality course beginning with the fundamentals of instrumentation, types of instrumentation and explanations as to why instruments are used in specific locations and applications. Course topics consist of loop fundamentals, P&ID drawings, electromagnetic & Coriolis flow measurement, and much more. Students will receive 1.4 CEUs on completion of the course.

This instructor led calibration course is delivered by our experienced technical education specialists who deliver a high-quality course covering calibration fundamentals, detailed documentation procedures, temperature, and pressure basics, and basics of DP flow calibration. In-depth demonstrations and hands-on exercises will follow each lecture. Students will receive 2.1 CEUs on completion of the course.
